Facility Hygiene is Common Sense

An obvious breach in your facility’s biosecurity are these filthy basket trucks.

Our uniforms and mats getting cleaned and delivered was great until I looked into the bottom of this rolly-basket. I could see our ‘clean’ mats co-mingling with green material from other grows and wherever else, when they brought them into the facility.

First, see if you can be the first stop on the driver’s route. Offer them money. Be friends with this hard-working person. 

Second, invest in 2 Uline poly basket trucks- for dirty mat collection and the other to receive the clean mats. 

Third, meet the delivery truck outside! You speed up the delivery time at your facility and he’ll be more amenable to requests when you explain your biosecurity needs. 

This is obvious to most of us, or maybe not. Anyone else have any biosecurity breach no-brainers?
